You hear Victoria Falls before you see it. That deep, constant roar that fills the air and stays with you all day, even back at camp over a long lunch on the river deck.

An hour in the presence of a mountain gorilla changes something in you that's quite hard to put into words afterwards.

The dry season, from June through September and again December through February, gives you the best conditions for trekking. Paths are more manageable, the families tend to settle at lower altitudes, and the whole experience unfolds with a little more ease and a lot more intimacy.

Mana Pools, you have our whole heart 🌿

Kanga Camp has been one of those rare places we've loved sending our guests, where elephants wander through camp like they own the place, the walking safaris are genuinely extraordinary, and that late afternoon light does something to you that's very hard to explain.

We're sad to share that Kanga Camp is closing its doors for now. Some places leave a mark that outlasts their season, and this is absolutely one of them 🐘
