It's a vulture, and before you scroll past, hear us out. Without vultures, disease spreads fast across the ecosystem. They strip a carcass clean in hours, doing ecological work that no other species can replicate. Our guides get quietly excited every time they spot a kettle circling on the horizon, because where vultures gather, something significant is unfolding.

After 20 years of designing safaris, the advice we give most often is also the simplest: tell us everything. 🌿

The guests who come home most transformed are almost always the ones who were honest about what they actually wanted from the experience. The ones who said they wanted slow mornings rather than early drives. Or who admitted they were nervous about being in the bush on foot but wanted to try it anyway. Or who told us their marriage needed a week completely unplugged and we built the whole journey around that.

The other thing we always say: choose your guide as carefully as you choose your camp. The landscape is extraordinary almost everywhere in Africa. It's the person interpreting it for you that determines what you actually walk away understanding and feeling.

The Ghost of the Himalayas 🐆

One of the most elusive cats on earth, in one of the most remote landscapes imaginable. Marlon will be leading an expedition into India's Spiti Valley from 8 to 19 March 2027, spending six full days in the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary at high altitude, searching the ridgelines for a snow leopard moving silently through the snow.

Blue sheep, Himalayan ibex, golden eagles, and the kind of patience that makes a sighting feel genuinely earned. A few spots remain. Reach out if the Himalayas are calling 📷

The crowds tend to leave in October, but we like to think that the magic stays 🌿

Dramatic storms rolling across the plains. Baby animals on wobbly legs in every direction. Lodges at their quietest, guides at their most unhurried, and a version of the bush that most safari travellers have never actually seen.
