Trail of Quilts #9. As we enter September of the year of giving quilts to unexpected people #9 has found a home. This quilt goes to my good friend Mary. It's an unexpected gift to give a quilter..but I enjoying her picking from the stack admiring and figuring out which would be hers was worth it. A quilter knows all that went into your work. Mary has gifted many quilts and it was fun to give a quilter and quilt!!

When u are a city girl you learn to appreciate the lure to country life. On our drive to the Art Nest we pass corn fields growing for months and now to harvest...grateful for farmers, for food and the growing process.

Quilt #7 of the Trail of Quilts was auctioned off last night. There were a few sprinkles of rain but it held off and all the quilts were sold. My quilt was sold for $450! It was rewarding to do something in memory of my Grandma Grace!!

Quilt #8 in the Trail of Quilts has been gifted!!! We have an adorable family who rented our short term rental next door, they have stayed 5 months and have 3 kids, the youngest was born 3 weeks after the moved in. Their house search finally is complete and they will be moving, they invited us to dinner. I asked what color would be in their new home living room and choose this beauty from the pile to gift to them. I love giving these to unexpected reciepients!

We love Starbucks and good things always happen at the bucks!! Today the COO Mike Grams and the senior executive Dennis B were in our local starbucks. We have no shame and asked for a picture and he spoke to us a bit about the bucks and we feel qualified to talk coffee...lol! So cool...even more cool...this was random, encounter as they are traveling around checking out stores! What a cool start to our day!
