The annual Patriot Day observance will be held tonight from 7:30 to 8:00 PM at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.
The event honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and pays tribute to the first responders and military personnel who serve and protect us every day.
The Exchange Club of Beaufort will honor the Firefighter of the Year, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, and EMS Worker of the Year.
A First Responder’s Memorial Procession will take place, beginning at Meridian Road and proceeding down Sea Island Parkway to Bay Street, ending at the waterfront park.
