⚠️ ALERT SOUTH CAROLINA FAMILIES AND VISITORS 🌊👀 Portuguese Man-of-War have been spotted this week on our Lowcountry Beaches!

The sting of a Man-Of-War jellyfish can cause painful health effects such as allergic reactions, skin welts, and even heart failure.

The change in currents and winds have brought man-o-war to South Carolina beaches during the last couple of days.

Here's a tip: If you encounter a man-of-war jellyfish at the beach, DON'T TOUCH IT! If it does get in contact with your skin, experts recommend using an object to scrape it off to prevent more harm.

Now you know! Stay alert if you plan on going in the water at the beach here in South Carolina.
