Cruisin' with Lincoln on 66 Visitors Center & Gift Shop and The McLean County Museum of History will be closed in observance of the July 4th holiday starting at Noon on Saturday, July 4th, and through Monday, July 6th.

We will be open in the morning on the 4th from 8:30 a.m. to Noon for the Downtown Bloomington Farmer's Market with FREE admission.

We will reopen on Tuesday, July 7, at 9:00 a.m.

Do you love historic markers? We are OBSESSED!

Join our partners in the Bloomington-Normal community on Friday, July 3rd at 2 p.m. to dedicate their newest historic marker. It highlights Lincoln's September 4, 1858 speech which took place on the north side of the Courthouse (now Museum) Square.

Friday’s dedication will be in the same spot where Lincoln spoke over 150 years ago.

Local Lincoln historian Guy Fraker will speak, and the 21st Ill. Vol. Infantry Civil War reenacting group will serve as a color guard and provide a 21-gun salute.
