Hey y’all! 👋🏾

I’ve been grinding behind the scenes, trying to make sure everyone is taken care of before I head to Mexico for the AIC Hotel Group All In Weddings training. I’m super excited about this training, as I’ve wanted to become an AIW Specialist for yearsssssss. 🙌🏾

I’ll be OOO from August 24-27 while I get my learn on, so all non-urgent business will have to await my return. In the meantime, keep an eye on my stories for updates and highlights!

You know that feeling when you buy something… and THEN find out it was cheaper somewhere else?

The last thing you need to be doing during your vacation is stressing about logistics. How nice would it be to get on a plane and know that every piece of your trip, from takeoff to touchdown at the end, is handled?

Bringing in an expert to handle the small details alleviates you from all of that.

All you have to do is worry about is whether to watch an inflight movie or read a novel (does anyone else struggle with this choice?!?) and which swimsuit to wear to the pool later on.

Timing is everything. When your family and friends are flying in for your wedding, good timing isn’t a “nice to have”. It’s the difference between a room block that fills and one that doesn’t.

I get asked this constantly: how much time do I actually need to plan a destination wedding?

Here’s my answer: 12 to 18 months out. That gives you time to actually find the right resort instead of settling for the first one that looked good online, lock in your room block before rates and availability tighten up, and secure your preferred wedding date and time before someone else books it.

It also gives your guests what they need: enough time to book flights, save up, and request time off. Give them less time than that and you’re not planning a wedding, you’re chasing RSVPs.

If you’re already engaged and wondering whether you’re behind, you’re probably not. But let’s talk timeline before more time passes.

Planning the ultimate getaway with a dose of “F them kids?”. Look no further than a few of my favorite adults only all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. With so many options, I have found that these have delivered consistently EVERY TIME.

Authentic Mexican food, mixology and vibes are what make Unico a favorite among friend groups and destination wedding groups. Named according to its latitude and longitude (clever), Unico 20 87 and its sister property, Unico 20 105 in Riviera Nayarit, are consistent fan favorites.

Baby. Atelier is giving you luxury, exclusivity, excellent cuisine and a gorgeous beach view. Plus there’s an onsite nightclub in case you all want to turn up.

The INSPIRA rooftop infinity pool is an ideal meeting place for you and the crew.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is going to deliver on the good pools, adult only spaces, food and drinks. One big catch with this resort is the shared spaces with the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva next door. My last adult group didn’t mind though — they actually had a fantastic time enjoying the water park (margaritas and all!)

Xcaret Arte has so much to offer - unique rooms, lush grounds, plenty of pools, gorgeous wedding venues - and one other thing that no one else provides: access to over a dozen Xcaret parks and tours in Quintana Roo, all included in your room rate! If you and your group like to go out and play, this is an amazing resort for you due to the All-Fun Inclusive program (Visit Xenses, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done before)

Ok I’m cheating here because this resort isn’t open yet. 🤭

BUT

Unico 18 77 is a highly anticipated addition to the Montego Bay coastline. This property brings the concept of the Mexican resorts (authentic meals, drinks and experiences) to Jamaica and man….it’s going to be epic. The resort isn’t yet open for booking but once it is, I promise to let yall know.

If your guests can book on their own, they will. And some of them will get it wrong.

Wrong dates.
Wrong room category.
Wrong RESORT!

Managing this without the proper support could mean that you lose the group
perks you were counting on and the minimum room count you needed to hit.

Then you spend the last three months before your wedding chasing 80 people individually trying to corral the group instead of enjoying your engagement.

Here’s how it’s SUPPOSED to work: one guest website, one booking link, one set of
instructions, one point of contact who is not you.

Your guests book right the first time because
there’s no other option in front of them.

This is the mistake I prevent before it starts.
