🚨 DCL SHIP PLACEMENT PREDICTIONS! 🚢👀
I’ve been thinking more about the coordinates, and I’m looking at them as seasonal deployments rather than assuming each coordinate represents a permanent homeport. Especially since we know Alaska and Europe will still require seasonal ship deployments.
Here are my current predictions:
🇵🇷 SAN JUAN — Magic + Treasure
I could see a BIG push into the Southern Caribbean. 🌴 I’m thinking Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Martinique, etc.
Off-season: I’d expect these ships to rotate back to Fort Launderdale
🗽 NEW YORK — Dream + eventually one of the new class ships
Bermuda, Canada/New England and potentially some Caribbean itineraries.
Off-season: Back to Port Canaveral or another Florida port for the winter months.
🤠 GALVESTON — Wonder (eventually one of the new class ships)
I could see an expanded season with more 7-night Caribbean itineraries.
Off-season: Likely back to San Diego or another seasonal deployment.
🌴 SAN DIEGO — Fantasy + Destiny
These feel like a good fit for Mexican Riviera, Baja and West Coast sailings as DCL expands the SoCal market.
Off-season: Up to Alaska for a seasonal rotation in the summer.
🌊 FORT LAUDERDALE (seasonal) - Magic + Treasure
These ships will split their time between FLL and San Juan, PR.
🏰 PORT CANAVERAL — Believe + Wish
This is where I think the BIG fleet reshuffling could happen. 👀 Believe could take over a major Port Canaveral rotation while another ship moves south or to a seasonal port.
🤔 I don’t “believe” these are six permanent homeports at all!
My thought is that Disney is teasing a fleet-wide seasonal reshuffle, at least until the new class of ship begins to debut.
If Disney comes out tomorrow with Aruba + Curaçao + longer Southern Caribbean itineraries, I’ll be ready to book! 😂🔥
