✨Meet Taryn✨ She is one of our adjunct instructors for the BAS Organizational Leadership program. We asked her why she likes being part of our UW program and here are her thoughts:
🎓 "My favorite assignment is the weekly discussion posts. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to watch students open up, become more vulnerable, and share both their strengths and areas for growth. These discussions create a space where students connect through encouragement, advice, and shared experiences. Seeing that level of authenticity and interaction demonstrates the strong foundation of trust and community being built within the course."
🎓 "I enjoy asking my students what kind of leader they aspire to be. This question provides valuable insight into their motivations for joining the program and helps me better understand their goals. It also encourages self-reflection, allowing students to begin shaping their leadership identity as they move through their educational journey."
🎓 "Leadership does not follow a single mold—it is diverse, evolving, and deeply personal. Each individual brings unique strengths, perspectives, and values to their leadership style. It is important to embrace those differences and intentionally develop the kind of leader you want to become."
🎓 "I have always considered myself a lifelong learner. Teaching in this program allows me to stay true to that value while contributing to the growth of others. Each semester, I find myself learning alongside my students and colleagues, gaining new perspectives and insights that continue to shape both my teaching and my own leadership journey."
