Are Ocean Suites on Carnival’s Excel-class ships actually worth the upgrade? 🤔🛳️

We had to book an Ocean Suite on the Carnival Celebration because you can’t fit more than 4 people in a standard balcony room. But looking at the layout, it seems like you’re getting a little more space, an extra TV, and a dividing curtain. Is that really worth the extra money?

I want to hear from people who have actually booked an Ocean Suite on the Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, or Jubilee! Was the extra space worth it? Did it make a big difference for your family, or would you stick with a standard balcony if you could?

🚧 Cruising out of PortMiami soon? You might want to plan for a little extra patience! 🛳️

Construction near Terminal G at PortMiami could mean some extra walking and navigating construction zones if you’re sailing with Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean, or Carnival. 👟

My advice? Pack your patience and wear sturdy, comfortable shoes! This might not be the time for those cute flip-flops. 😂 Between the walking, uneven surfaces, and construction, your feet might thank you later!

If you’re sailing out of Miami soon, be prepared, give yourself extra time, and check for the latest terminal and parking instructions before heading to the port.

🚢 There is no WRONG way to cruise! ❤️

Carnival, Royal Caribbean, MSC, Norwegian, Disney… whatever cruise line you love, you’re not wrong for loving it! We all have different preferences, budgets, and family dynamics. What works for my family might not work for yours, and that’s perfectly okay.

At the end of the day, we’re all here for the same reasons: the freedom, the beautiful destinations, the ocean views, and the memories we make along the way. 🌊☀️

So why are we dividing the cruise community over which cruise line is better? We can have different opinions without tearing each other down. There’s room for all of us on the open seas! 🛳️

One week after our cruise, and my cruise standards have changed! 🚢👀

Here’s what I’ve learned about what I NEED from a cruise experience going forward:

🛳️ Older ships: Beautiful and full of nostalgia, but some things just can’t be upgraded. Modern, larger ships have advantages that are hard to ignore.

🌴 The ports matter: I better LOVE the destinations on my itinerary! Nobody wants to spend the day sweating in the heat just to walk around a port they aren’t excited about. 😂

🍽️ The food has to deliver: If I’m spending most of my cruise eating at the buffet because the other food options aren’t cutting it, something needs to change.

These aren’t just little preferences anymore. This is how I feel about cruising after years of experience, and I’m standing on business! I love cruising, but I know what I want out of the experience, and I’m not settling just because it’s a cruise.

Carnival changes something every other week lately 😂 but this new FunPacks promotion actually caught my attention! 🍹🚢

The Social Pack offers a Cheers-style beverage package with a limit of 3 cocktails per day. And honestly? I’ve been asking Carnival for tiered Cheers packages for a long time. Not everyone drinks enough to justify paying for the full Cheers package, so having more options could be a step in the right direction.

Could this be the beginning of more flexible drink packages for Carnival cruisers? 👀 Or does a 3-cocktail daily limit defeat the purpose?
