While we were shark tooth hunting at Morris Island , I flipped this shell over and realized he was still alive β stranded and unable to make it back to the water. So I picked him up and returned him to the surf where he belongs. π
If you ever flip a shell and see a living whelk or sea snail inside like this, please donβt leave them upside down. Gently help them back to the water and let nature take over. One simple act can save a life.
