We are creeping up on the best time of year to target these bull redfish. As we move into September/ October the bull reds come into the Charleston Harbor to spawn. Just like for any other fish during a spawn, these fish get concentrated into larger schools which in return makes them super hungry and aggressive. Naturally it makes for the best bull red fishing we have all year!

We will now being offering marsh hen hunts here in the Lowcountry marshes. The season is coming up in a couple of weeks and the hunting is tide dependent so give us a call to get on the books. We have an option for a 3 hour marsh hen hunt or a 6 hour cast and blast.

People ask us all the time about our boat set ups, tackle setups and gear set ups. So here is a little video showing our bulletproof trolling motor battery set up. We fish up to 13 hour a day on each boat with majority of it being on spot lock in the current. We have used LED Acid batteries, AGM batteries and Lithium batteries. When it comes to LED Acid and AGM batteries, it takes 3 individual 12V batteries in series to reach the 36 volts that it needs to run the trolling motors we use. If you end up having an issue 1 of the 3 batteries, then it will throw the whole system off. Instead of using 3 12v batteries to reach 36v, the simplest and best set up we have found is 1 36v lithium battery. Not to mention the weight of 1 36v lithium battery is 1/4 of the weight of 1 12v AMG battery. One of the many great things about Lithium batteries is you have the capability to add multiple 36v lithium batteries in PARALLEL to extend the length of battery life and time you can run your trolling motor with full power.
