✈Travel Tip for Families traveling with Kids
✨ Before the Flight
1. Book Smart:
• Choose seats early to sit together (pay if necessary).
• Aim for direct flights to avoid long layovers or rushed connections.
• Fly during nap times or early in the day when kids are more rested.
2. Pack Strategically:
• Bring essentials in carry-on: diapers, wipes, change of clothes, snacks, medications.
• Pack comfort items: blanket, stuffed animal, or pacifier.
• Use packing cubes to organize each child’s clothes.
3. Prepare the Kids:
• Talk about the airport and plane experience.
• Watch videos or read books about flying.
• Let them help pack a small backpack

4. Arrive Early:
Give yourself plenty of time for check-in, security, bathroom breaks, and snacks.
5. Use Family Lanes & Early Boarding:
Many airports offer expedited security lanes for families. Take advantage of early boarding to get settled.
6. Let Them Move:
Before boarding, let kids stretch, walk, or play in a designated area to burn energy.

7. Entertainment is Key:
• Load tablets with movies, games, and shows (use headphones!).
• Bring coloring books, small toys, sticker books, or magnetic games.
• Rotate activities to keep interest.
8. Snacks, Snacks, Snacks:
• Pack a variety of easy, non-messy snacks.
• Gum or lollipops can help with ear pressure during takeoff and landing.
9. Manage Expectations:
• Keep calm. Kids will cry or get bored—it’s normal.
• Use positive reinforcement and breaks if needed.
