This is a personalized service which designs one-of-a-kind Italian travel experiences. Your host is Marco Palermo, a native of Rome who has lived in the US for more than twenty five years. Marco believes the best way to experience Italy is ‘to drive’ through this beautiful country. You can go from the peaks of the beautiful mountains of Abruzzo to the sandy beaches of the the Amalfi coast within a two-hour drive. Marco will will be your personal driver, companion, translator and entertainer.

Tour #6 of Season 2026 — 15 Days of Italy

Another unforgettable Italy à la CARte journey comes to an end!

Over 15 days, Nick & Kaitlin traveled through Orvieto, Pienza, Siena, Florence, Rome, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast (Conca dei Marini, Amalfi & Positano) and Sicily (Palermo & Ortigia) experiencing some of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes, fascinating history, wonderful food and unique local traditions.

From Tuscany to Rome, from the ancient ruins of Pompeii to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, and all the way to Sicily — it was a wonderful journey filled with memorable places, great meals and, fortunately, almost perfect weather! ☀️🍋🍝

The only little complication came at the very end, when Mount Etna decided to make things interesting and temporarily disrupted flights from Catania. 🌋✈️

But after a little travel drama… we made it home! 😉

Tour #5 of Season 2026
Rome, florence and The Amalfi Coast.

And just like that, our 9-day tour with this fun family of 11 people comes to an end! 🇮🇹🚗🇮🇹

The heat was brutal, I survived a Vespa accident, and there were plenty of crazy moments—but most importantly, we had a lot of fun! 😄

One last picture together at the airport before everyone heads back to New York. ✈️🇺🇸

Wishing you all a safe flight home. I hope this tour gave you memories, laughs and experiences that will last a lifetime. ❤️🇮🇹

Tour # 4 of 2026 Season.
And just like that… it’s time to go back!
1,150 miles (1,835 km) on the road and 30 miles (48 km) on foot through Lazio, Tuscany and Campania! 🚗🇮🇹🚗
We covered a LOT: Rome, with private tours of the Vatican and Colosseum, Orvieto, Siena, Pienza, Florence, Sorrento and Capri!
And we did it all while dealing with some seriously above-average summer temperatures! 🥵☀️ But this amazing group kept going and made the most of every single day! Proud of you!
Have a wonderful flight home, guys!
And when you get home, please say hello to my very much missed A/C for me! 😂❄️ I’ll be here sweating it out a little longer in the country where turning on the A/C apparently gives you a cold! 🤣🇮🇹

Tour # 3 of Season 2026.
Two unforgettable weeks together. We drove 1,842 miles (2,948 km), walked 52 miles (83 km), and traveled through Lazio, Campania, Umbria, Marche, Toscana, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardia, Abruzzo, and the Republic of San Marino. We climbed Mount Vesuvius in 36°C (97°F) heat, enjoyed some of the best food Italy has to offer, and discovered countless amazing places along the way.
Now it's time for Gary and Sully to head back home to beautiful Sonoma Valley, while I take a short break before welcoming my next group of seven on August 1.

Tour #2 of Season 2026.

Over the past 17 unforgettable days, we drove 1,350 miles (2,162 km) through the regions of Lazio, Sicily, Puglia, Basilicata, and Campania.

We also walked an incredible 65.9 miles (106 km) exploring the streets of Rome, Palermo, Cefalù, Ortigia, Polignano a Mare, Lecce, Gallipoli, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Altamura, Matera, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Positano, and Naples—with temperatures soaring above 100°F (38°C)... and even reaching 104°F (40°C)! 🥵🔥

Along the way, we admired breathtaking churches and historic sites, stood on the shores of three seas that embrace this beautiful country—the Adriatic, Ionian, and Tyrrhenian—and enjoyed some of the finest local specialties each of these five regions has to offer.

We traveled. We explored. We laughed. We ate... a lot! 😄🍝🍕🍋

I'd say we got it right.

But like all good things, this journey has come to an end.

Mark and Grace, have a safe flight home! It was a pleasure traveling with you once again. I hope that, for the third time, Italy à la Carte has helped create memories that will last a lifetime.

We drove 1,607 miles and walked together about 55 miles in Rome, Puglia (Andria, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Ostuni, Lecce, Gallipoli, Galatina and Altamura) and in Abruzzo (Rocca Calascio).
