"International Kitchen made our first trip to Italy seamless from start to finish. The accommodations, service and experiences all exceeded our expectations. They were professional, reliable and eager to help every step of the way. We are avid chefs and reveled in the opportunity to cook hip to hip with a Michelin Star chef while staying in a spacious, luxurious room on an Estate so picturesque it seemed straight out of a guide book. I could not recommend The International Kitchen more highly!"

Tucked inside the old village of Termoli on Molise’s Adriatic coast is A Rejecelle, an alley just 41 centimeters wide and less than 8 meters long. That makes it one of the narrowest streets in all of Italy! The name comes from the French word “rue,” which the locals turned into their own dialect word for “little street.” Legend has it that if two people met in the middle, the only way to decide who had to back up was a duel.

Chef David is exceptionally talented, patient, and a lot of fun. Alyson also made us feel very well cared for and welcome in their home. Ellinikos Kafes or Greek Coffee

☕🫖☕️

In Greece, coffee is not just a drink, it's an important community ritual. Ellinikos kafes is the most traditional style of coffee made by simmering finely ground coffee with water together in a small pot called a briki. It's never filtered, so the grounds settle to the bottom and leave a thick layer of foam, or kaimaki, on top. The dregs that settle to the bottom of your cup require you to sip slowly, and if you're lucky enough to be with someone who can 'read' them, they might even tell you your fortune. The origin of this Greek coffee is, of course, disputed, since it uses essentially the same technique as other coffee traditions in this region. Regardless, it's a style of coffee meant to be shared. Local coffee houses double as community hubs, where you can find regulars gathered for hours over a game of backgammon and talking about the latest local news. Greek coffee isn't meant to be rushed and is best enjoyed with good company, good gossip, and no place to be.
