Rey of Sunshine/Rey

A ray of sunshine is someone who brings joy and hope into the lives of others! Rey is a female versions of Ray. Wings’ full name is Judy’s Sunshine. I have wanted a Rey of Sunshine for the herd since 2018 when Little Miss Sunshine had a black pinto with white on her withers! We tried with Wings' filly in 2022, but weren't successful. Wings’ sponsor and a Secret Santa joined Buyback Friends in making that possible today! I thank each and every one of you!

The Secret Santa was planning to do the bidding, but had computer problems at the last minute. That is how I ended up bidding. I am so happy it worked out this way. I probably wouldn’t have slept last night with the anticipation. The bidding was thrilling and terrifying at the same moment! I was a basket case! The video I saw looks way better than I picture it in my head from going through it. I had never done the bidding before myself so I am glad to have had that experience, but I think I’ll leave the bidding to Steve in the future if the families aren’t going to be doing the bidding. I'm glad I got to do the bidding for this one especially! It makes the whole experience even more meaningful!

What happened today was an eight years in the making dream come true for me! Thank you to everybody who made that dream come true!
