Saturday shoutout to Riptide! 🐴🌊
Born May 3, 2009, Riptide has been roaming Assateague for 17 years. This handsome flaxen chestnut stallion, with his signature blonde mane, blaze and four white socks, is definitely a guest favorite.
Fun fact: Riptide was an $11,500 buyback pony, meaning he was auctioned but donated back to remain wild on Assateague. ❤️
There’s nothing quite like spotting Riptide and his band along the shoreline.
