We hear daily from our visitors that this is a dream life. This is the life they would love to live and it’s true. We are very fortunate very blessed and even more thankful that we have this opportunity, but don’t be misled that when you have a sanctuary where animals come in as pet surrenders, abused, in horrible shape, we are left with making the hardest decisions. Some of the animals that we take in cannot be saved, some animals It takes years for them to trust us, some make a really quick turnaround, but this life when you take in an animal as a commitment for its lifetime, it is not always an easy decision, but that’s what we do. We don’t always have the cute cuddly, sweet baby animals that everyone wants to see because we don’t sell our animals when the cuteness is gone. When they come here they live their life with us. It’s a commitment, a lifetime commitment. We give them a safe place to live out their life. Farm life, real farm life is hard, heartbreaking but these animals deserve the best and that’s what we try to provide.

When we lose one we always second-guess if we did everything right, we question ourselves we blame ourselves even when we know we’ve done everything. It’s still falls back on us. Personally I am very, very thankful that I have a husband and family that understands, help, give and commit to the care of these animals.

We’ve had a rough year we’ve lost several of our sweet animals due to all the things and it never gets easy.

Even through the hardships, we choose to stay positive and we will continue to do our part and give these animals, the best life that we can and that we know how❤️

We spoke with the vet Friday around 4:30 and bully bears bloodwork did not come back as great as we were hoping it looks like he may have cancer will know more on Monday after we visit the vet again. We are heartbroken 💔

We met a family today & dad & son were named Gus & Woodrow so of course we got a pic of with them with our Gus & Woodrow.
