Universal Orlando bound! 🎃👻

We’re officially on our way for our son’s 18th birthday trip — and this will be the very first Halloween Horror Nights for all three of us. 😬😂

August was a busy month behind the scenes! ✈️💗

I spent the month learning, quoting, planning, working with suppliers, and taking care of my clients — all while continuing to grow as a Travel Advisor.

One of my biggest projects has been working on a 2027 Universal Orlando student group trip. I’ve also been researching and quoting cruise options, continuing my Certified Travel Associate (CTA) studies through The Travel Institute, and completing more S**z University training with Wondermakers Travel.

There is so much more that goes into being a Travel Advisor than simply making a booking, and I’m really enjoying continuing to build my knowledge, experience, and supplier relationships along the way.

🎃 🎃 Halloween Horror Nights starts TONIGHT!

And one week from today, we’ll be at Universal Orlando for my son’s 18th birthday trip! 👻

I’m a horror fan…but I’ve never experienced anything on the level of HHN before, so I genuinely have no idea how I’m going to react. 😂

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the details in the houses, experiencing the scare zones, and just taking in the whole atmosphere. My husband is a HUGE Killer Klowns fan, so I already know he’ll be on the lookout for anything Killer Klowns-related — and probably a shirt. 🤡

We also play Fortnite together as a family, so we are secretly geeking out over the Fortnitemares scare zone too. 😂 And I am definitely excited to see the Death Eaters!

Based on what I’ve been hearing already, I’m especially curious about Cybergoria, Hellraiser, and Ozzy. Cybergoria seems to be getting a lot of love as an original house, and I keep hearing really good things about Hellraiser and Ozzy too.

I’ll be sharing our HHN strategy before we go, and once we’re there, I’m going to try to capture my reactions, lots of details, and what the experience is really like for a first-timer.

Will I love it? Will I be terrified? Probably both. 😂

What if the WHOLE family went to Universal? 🌎✨

One of the best things about a big family trip is that everyone can enjoy the vacation in their own way.

Some can head for the thrill rides, some can explore Harry Potter, others can take it slower with shows, shopping, dining, or other attractions — and then everyone can meet back up for dinner, mini golf, a favorite ride, or a park day together.

If your group is large enough to need 10 or more hotel rooms, there may also be special group options and benefits available through Universal.

Christmas Market river cruises have officially made it onto my future travel list. 🎄✨

The more I learn about river cruising, the more intrigued I am.

One of the biggest reasons is that Timothy gets motion sick, so the idea of cruising on a river instead of the open ocean is much more appealing to us.

But there’s so much more I love about the idea.

🚢 River cruise ships are much smaller than most ocean cruise ships, which means fewer people and a more intimate experience.

🏘️ Because of their size, they can travel to places huge ocean ships can’t and often dock close to the cities and towns you’re there to explore. I LOVE the idea of being able to walk off the ship and start exploring.

✨ The whole experience feels more boutique and destination-focused, which is very much my kind of travel.

🎄 And then you add European Christmas markets? Beautiful historic cities, Christmas lights, festive markets, local food and holiday traditions…yes, please.

I’ve also discovered that river cruising isn’t limited to Europe. There are itineraries right here in the United States, which gives me even more trips to add to my future list. 😂

I haven’t taken a river cruise yet, but this is one style of travel I’m really excited to learn more about—and a Christmas Market sailing might just be the one that eventually gets us onboard.
