It’s going to be a hot one this month… 🥵 but that’s not slowing First Fridays down! If you’re downtown this evening from 5-8pm, you’ll still be able to enjoy craft vendors, food trucks, music, a game zone, and shopping the local businesses who are keeping their doors open a little later than usual! 👏

To stay cool, remember to stop by Columbia Main Street’s tent for complimentary water, walk through the misting station provided by Columbia Fire & Rescue, and soak up the AC by supporting local and shopping the indoor businesses! There is a heat advisory in effect, so please be sure to listen to your body, take needed breaks, and stay hydrated. Have fun and stay safe!

Until the end of September, stop in the Welcome Center to check out the stunning work of artist Brenda Hayes.

"Brenda works in colored pencils, pastels, acrylics, watercolors and collage mixed media. She has won several awards for her work, including Best of Show and People's Choice awards at the Marshall County Art Guild's annual art show. She teachs classes at the guild gallery in colored pencils, pastels and collage mixed media. Brenda says. 'Art has always been an important part of my life.'"
