Okay friends, gather ‘round, it’s time for a little behind‑the‑scenes truth about how travel planning actually works.

Because here’s the thing…

🧡 Travel agents don’t get paid to research.
Not for quoting.
Not for comparing.
Not for building itineraries.
Not for the hours spent making sure your vacation is flawless.

We only get paid after you book AND travel, and that payment comes from the supplier’s built‑in commission. A commission you’re paying for whether you use a TA or not.

So when you book through:
• Expedia
• A cruise line
• A resort website
• A random “deal” you found at 2 a.m.

Guess who gets the commission?
👉 Them.
Not the human who spent hours helping you.

💡 And this is why some travel agents charge planning fees.

There’s a big myth out there about travel agents, so let’s clear the runway real quick 👇

✈️ Travel agents don’t get paid unless you BOOK AND TRAVEL with them.

No hourly wage.
No salary.
No “thanks for looking” paycheck.

We’re commission‑only, and only AFTER you actually travel.

And here’s the twist most people don’t realize…

💡 Whether you use a travel agent or book it yourself…
A commission is ALWAYS built into the price.

If you book through:
• Expedia
• Booking. com
• A cruise line

Guess what?
👉 They keep the commission.
