Kenai Riverdog is a small, personalized rafting company offering custom trips and adventure photography in the beautiful town of Cooper Landing, Alaska.

Owner and operator, Kayce James, has spent the last 12 years of her life on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. Kenai Riverdog was born from her love for the river, and it is her attempt to instill that love for the beauty of the river into every customer that comes on her trips.

My little mountain baby is due in just a month, and it’s starting to hit me how quickly life is about to change. 😅
Between unexpected car repairs, appointments, and getting everything ready for this little guy, the expenses are piling up faster than I’d like.
So, I’m running a 40% off sale on my Etsy on my Mountain Men of Alaska calendars through Wednesday!
Part of this is to help offset some of those expenses, but I’m also trying to get ahead of the holiday rush. Black Friday and Christmas shopping are right around the corner, and there’s a pretty good chance I’ll be knee deep in newborn chaos by then.
If you normally order calendars for Christmas gifts, I’d love it if you considered ordering a little early this year. That way I can get them packed up and on their way before the 💩 hits the fan around here. And with a newborn boy, I suspect there will be plenty of literal 💩 hitting the fan, too. 😂

That’s a wrap, folks! Today I took out my final trip of the season, and I couldn’t have asked for better company on a rainy, chilly Alaska day.

It’s been such a great season filled with wonderful customers, but at 30 weeks pregnant, I decided it’s finally time to give this body of mine a little break. I’m pretty damn impressed with what it’s been capable of this summer, all while growing a whole little human. At one point I worked 18 days in a row, with plenty of doubles mixed in there, and somehow this belly and I just kept on rowing.

I’m also incredibly grateful for everyone who floated with me this summer. People were so kind, patient, understanding, and genuinely excited for this next chapter of my life, and it made the season go by so much more smoothly.

Thank you all for another wonderful season with Kenai Riverdog. Now it’s time to rest a little, , spend time with my daughter, hike, fish, enjoy fall, and get ready to raise a baby!
