Spent Memorial Day in a unique way today at the Walt Disney Family Museum, learning about Walt Disney’s service during World War I and how his time in the military helped shape the man who would later create the magic that inspires millions around the world.
Before Mickey, Disneyland, and Disney Parks, Walt was a teenager serving with the Red Cross in France, driving ambulances and experiencing a world far different than the one he would eventually build. Seeing this side of his story was a powerful reminder that every great dream starts with real-life experiences, challenges, and service to others.
On a day dedicated to honoring the men and women who gave their lives for our country, it was meaningful to reflect on Walt’s connection to military service and the generation that helped shape America.
🇺🇸 Remembering the fallen. Honoring their sacrifice. Never forgetting.
