Being a travel advisor wasn't on my radar, it just came to be. After spending seven years in the military, I decided to rejoin the civilian world and began my career as a Financial Advisor. This began a nearly four year journey in which I learned a lot from a number of successful veterans of the industry. During that t

ime, I really enjoyed consulting with my clients, but I wanted something with more freedom and flexibility. So, I began searching for a career where I could continue to assist people with finding solutions to better their lives. I came across an article about a segment on Oprah which revealed, “that travel agents are among the happiest jobs in America.”

I realized travel agents did the same things I did as a Financial Advisor, just with a different product and less strain on my conscience; I was sold. It soon dawned on me I had the perfect background to be an awesome travel advisor:

WHAT DO WE DO? We construct optimized travel packages crafted specifically to increase the level of vitality for everyone involved. The goal is to create a package that enhances each of the following areas of wellness:

- Physical

Enjoy a vacation that’s physically engaging; whether that means relaxing in a hammock on a beach, or zip-lining in Peru.

- Financial

Receive a package of the highest value possible. We’re looking to find the best value for our clients and value here means the finished product is worth more than the price paid.

- Psychological

Tour famous landmarks, practice yoga on a mountain side, or pray in a temple to engage the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional aspects of wellness.

- Social

This area of wellness is evident in the very nature of travel. We share experiences with friends and family when on vacation together, but sometimes the social wellness need isn’t fulfilled by more social interaction, but less. If this is the case for you, there's always the option of immersing yourself in meditative solitude while on a spiritual retreat. VM Retreats focuses primarily on families and groups interested in “packaged vacations” like all-inclusive land vacations, cruises, and guided tours, as well as destination weddings, honeymoons, and wedding moons. However, we have the resources and expertise to assist in many situations. Whatever your vacation or travel needs, it is our duty and privilege to accommodate you. In the Air Force, the core values of “integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do” were drilled into us. Our relationship may begin with you "placing an order," but as Travel Advisors, our job is to develop a relationship with you and discover your needs, so we can effectively anticipate your travel desires and create a travel portfolio.
