Example: I had a guest book on a big booking company website for 7 nights.

Nightly rent with taxes and cleaning fee came to $9328.00. They paid an additional $1151.00 in guest fees! $1151.00!!!!!!!!! 😱

That is money💵 they could have kept and put into their vacation🏝️, food, gas, whatever, but instead, they were forced by the big booking company out of $1151.00 to book the same place they could have booked through me directly. All because they didn’t know better!

This isn’t just a public service announcement for myself and my company but for ALL rental management companies!

💪BOOK DIRECTLY through us and don’t give those big booking companies your hard earned money! It’s your money, keep it!!!💪

⁉️And you know why this happens⁉️

This happens because people just don’t know any better. The big booking companies HIDE their fees inside the nightly rent! And this year it’s worse! They “pretend” that they (big booking companies) are the managers of the property. You get trapped!

‼️They ARE NOT!!! There is either a rental management company that manages the home or there is an actual owner that manages their own home 🏠

🐘And another thing to remember 🐘

We are NOT ALLOWED to tell you to book through our direct booking websites because the BIG booking companies monitor our messages and if we are found to have referred you to our website, they REMOVE us from their platforms! 🤬 We’re trapped too!

💪The only way around this is to take control and book directly with the property manager or owner. PERIOD!

🙏So please, when your booking a place that you find in a big booking company website, look for clues 🕵️

👀Look for the name of the property (what’s it’s called. i.e. Catch and Relase, Ohana, Sonny Daze, Quarter Deck, On Beach Time, The View, Tranquil Tides, Pool Side View, Point Breeze, Fox Den, Dauphin Pod, Blue House, Sandy Clam, Pelican Place, Coastal Breeze, Sea Krewe, Sonny Side, The Inn 412, La Paradise Dauphine, etc.), 👀look for the name of the actual company that manages it inside the descriptions (Dauphin Island Stays Vacation Rentals, etc,), look for other clues that renters

Sunset Capital 🌅

Most people heading to Alabama’s beaches never make it to Dauphin Island — and honestly, they’re missing one of the most peaceful places on the Gulf Coast. Sunrise and sunset here feel completely different from the crowded tourist beaches farther east. Empty stretches of sand, quiet marshes glowing gold in the evening light, old live oaks draped in Spanish moss, and calm water reflecting the sky in every direction.

It’s the kind of place where people come to slow down.

Bird sanctuaries, fishing docks, hidden shoreline roads, and long quiet walks without crowds or noise make Dauphin Island feel like old coastal Alabama before everything became overbuilt and commercialized. Some evenings, the only sounds are gulls overhead, waves hitting the shore, and boats moving slowly through the bay.

That peaceful atmosphere is exactly why so many people who visit once end up coming back again and again.







The sunsets on Dauphin Island honestly don’t get talked about enough.
