We’ve had a unsual week.
Landlocked with a combination of fog and adverse ocean conditions.

And on a personal note, I am honored to be part of her amazing team.

“Hi All,

Well we have had the worst weather and ocean conditions since starting my business 20 years ago.

I have been off the ocean for a week now. I feel so bad for the people wanting to go whale watching but I will NEVER jeopardize safety to make a buck.
My first priority with my business has always been safety followed by education.

I also feel bad for my incredible managers, Katt and Kellie, who have had to cancel or rebook numerous times.
Many thanks also go out to my awesome social media person, Gina.

Drift Creek Falls is a popular hiking destination situated near Depoe Bay Oregon.

A 240-foot suspension bridge, (100 feet above the canyon)
opens up to a jaw dropping 75-foot waterfall.

The trail is a relatively easy to moderate 3-mile round trip with an optional 1 mile north loop around with year round access.

Located approximately 42 minutes from Depoe Bay.

There is a $5 fee for parking, which is easily purchased online.

Pacific View Lodging, based in Depoe Bay, has partnered with Travel Oregon and Kind Traveler’s
“Every Stay Gives Back” initiative to support Friends of Otter Rock.

This nonprofit organization is dedicated to protecting and preserving the rocky shore intertidal life, nesting and migratory seabirds, and marine mammals of Devil’s Punch Bowl State Natural Area, Otter Rock Marine Gardens, Otter Rock Marine Reserve, and the National Islands Wildlife Refuge.

Through this partnership, every stay at Pacific View Lodging’s vacation rental properties in Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, and Netarts, Oregon, contributes directly to this vital conservation mission.

To date, Pacific View Lodging, through the generous donations of their guests, have raised $8,028 through the “Every Stay Gives Back” program, with 100% of the funds donated going to Friends of Otter Rock.
