**PSA*** Senator Campsen has introduced an important bill to our state legislature involving changes to the current regulations on Red Drum. Most of you know where I stand on redfish and how important they are both ecological and economically. It’s crucial that this bill gets passed! Even with the current regulations, as a state we are still removing more fish from the system than can be added back each year with the summer spawn. Here are the new proposed regulations: …1 fish per person bag limit
2 fish per boat limit
18-25 inch slot size
Requirement that when using natural bait with a hook size of 4/0 or larger, the hook must be a non-stainless/non-offset circle hook for gamefish species….
