Tideline Tours TIDELINE TOURS caters to those of all ages with a sense of adventure and curiosity. Explore the Salt We also offer sailing and dinner cruises.

An off-the-beaten-path boat tour in Charleston SC and Folly Beach SC. Adventure into the salt marsh in an endless sea of spartina grass, where oyster-lined tidal creeks, sheltered behind barrier islands, provide home for several fish, bird, and mammal species. Watch Bottlenose dolphins on the way to Morris Island to see the lighthouse and look for shells. Bring your bachelorette party on the big boat and enjoy the day with music, drinks, and sunshine!

Hi Folly lovers, we have two fun classes coming up I'd love to share!

🗺 Trip Planning 101: If you've been wanting to get out on the boat, kayak, or SUP but not sure where to start, this is it. We'll talk tides and currents, weather, choosing where to go, and how to put it all together into a plan that works for you.

👩‍🔧 Basic Maintenance: For anyone wanting to dive in a little deeper. We'll cover the basic systems on a boat, routine outboard maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and what to do when (not if!) the engine cuts off on the water 😐

We were excited to find a rare white turtle in this evening's nest inventory!  

Leucism is similar to albinism; it is a genetic difference causing a reduction in pigment during development.  Leucistic individuals also keep their natural eye color instead of having the red eyes and total lack of pigment characteristic of albinos.

Parents, want to get your kids comfortable on the boat? We're now offering boating classes just for kids! 

🛥️Topics include learning the parts of the boat, how to tie up at the dock, basic safety and navigation, and hands on time behind the wheel. 

🛥️ Grab some friends and book a class - ages 9 and up
Next session is 4:30-6pm, Tuesdays in October. Private small group classes available year round any day of the week!

Hard to believe it's been 15 years of working as a captain full time and 10 of owning Tideline Tours.

What started as a "fun naturalist job" on the Bulls Island Ferry before grad school turned into much more. I thought captain was a temporary job, but turns out the boat is my preferred classroom!

It's been a joy to work with so many wonderful captains, naturalists, scientists, and educators across the industry. We've gone from 1 boat to 3, had too many offices to count (aka kitchen tables), learned to love fiberglassing, and increased our focus on kids' programming and women's boating lessons. Getting people out on the water, excited about nature, and learning without even realizing it is exactly where I want to be. Also, y'all know I don't sit inside well!

Thanks Capt. Anton DuMars for trusting me with your business. Thanks to all my family and friends for not giving up on me when I disappeared for months at a time in summer and showed up for last-minute, late-night dinners after work. And thanks to everyone who has supported Tideline along the way. We wouldn't be here without you!
