One of the highlights from last evening's moose tour!
This handsome yearling bull was completely content to let us sit quietly and watch as he munched on cattails for over half an hour. Moments like these are special—not because they're guaranteed, but because they're wild, natural, and happen on the moose's terms.
Guests last night were treated to an incredible evening and saw 9 moose on their Maine Moose Tour. That certainly doesn't happen every day, but it's a reminder of why we love what we do.
Every tour is different. Some days it's a cow and calf tucked along a back road. Other days it's a young bull feeding in the wetlands while the sun sets over the Maine North Woods. We can't promise how many moose you'll see, but we can promise that we'll work hard, share our knowledge, respect the wildlife, and do everything we can to help create those unforgettable Maine moments.
These are the experiences we get to live every day with our guests, and we never take them for granted. ❤️

What's Your Moose Dream?

Everyone has a moose bucket list.

Some people dream of seeing a giant bull standing in the morning fog.

Others hope to watch a cow moose with her newborn calves quietly feeding along the water's edge.

As for me? 😊

My dream is to one day have a moose gently brush up against my hand with its muzzle so I can find out just how soft they really are.

One question we get asked a lot is what kind of fish cleaning board we use after our fishing charters on Moosehead Lake.

After cleaning fish day after day, season after season, we’ve become pretty picky about gear that actually holds up.

THIS is why we love what we do. 🌲🐟

When people book a trip to Maine, they’re usually hoping for memories…

But sometimes those moments turn into something even bigger.

Cyndi and her girlfriend came to Moosehead Lake with one goal:
See a moose.

After 20 years of trying unsuccessfully, they finally experienced their very first moose encounter here in Maine — and not just one… they spotted NINE moose during their trip. 🫎

Before the tour, they also joined us on a fishing charter where they caught salmon and lake trout, then enjoyed cooking fresh fish they caught themselves for the very first time.

Stories like this remind us that guiding isn’t just about spotting wildlife or catching fish…

It’s about helping people experience moments they’ll remember forever.

One of the things we loved hearing most from this review was how much they appreciated learning about the animals, their habitat, and the importance of preserving Maine’s wilderness for future generations.
