A must-do stop on the Road to Hana 🌿✨ Hāna Farms is one of my favorite places for local Maui-made products, delicious food, and the best souvenirs to take home 🛍️🍌☕

Stock up on fresh banana bread, local coffee, spices, sauces, and handmade island goodies. My personal favorite? A hot yerba mate with cream and honey—so good after a day of hiking, swimming, and adventuring 🌺

And don’t leave without trying the wood-fired clay oven pizza in their open-air bamboo hale 🍕🔥 Easily some of the best pizza on Maui. Beautiful gardens, a gorgeous marketplace, clean modern facilities, and the perfect place to relax and recharge.

With easy roadside parking and a short, family-friendly 1-mile loop, this peaceful trail winds through bamboo groves, towering eucalyptus trees, ancient giant fern forests, and tropical flowers blooming along the way.

Wooden steps and scenic boardwalks make the walk easy and enjoyable for all ages — whether you’re looking for a quick 10-minute nature break or a slow, peaceful hour surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

Road to Hāna favorites 🌈🌿

1. Rainbow Trees near mile marker 9.5—Maui’s magical rainbow eucalyptus forest hidden in the lush rainforest. A quick stop that feels straight out of a dream.
2. Honomanu Bay near mile marker 14—a dramatic hidden cove with black sand, giant boulders, and Jurassic Park vibes. The narrow road down is easy to miss, so keep your eyes open. *4-wheel vehicle recommended, or park on the side of the road and walk the 1/2 mile down.
3. Waikamoi Ridge Trail—a short rainforest loop through eucalyptus groves, giant ferns, and peaceful jungle views. The perfect stop to stretch your legs on the way to Hāna

Staying at Hana Maui Luxe? Don’t miss the breathtaking Pipiwai Trail 🌿💧

Pack smart for this unforgettable adventure: bring rain gear, mosquito repellent, sturdy waterproof hiking boots, 1–2 liters of water per person, and snacks for the walk to Waimoku Falls. The trail is about 4 miles roundtrip and takes roughly 2 hours, with muddy, rocky sections that can get slippery.

Start early — around 9:00 a.m. is ideal to beat the crowds —bring your America the Beautiful National Parks Pass, Hawaiʻi Tri-Park Annual Pass, and other federal passes (Senior, Military, Access) or Haleakalā National Park pass or pay $30 per vehicle to enter
