🌴 Three fun stops on the Road to Hāna — because getting to Hāna is half the adventure! 🚙🌺

💦 First stop: Twin Falls for jungle trails and a cold, fresh-water plunge — one of my favorite ways to reset on the road.

🌈 Then an impromptu roadside rinse! On this particular day, water was cascading right down the cliff beside one of the Road to Hāna’s iconic one-lane bridges — with waterfalls flowing all around us. Nature’s shower? Absolutely stopping. 😂💦

☕️ Next up: I Survived the Road to Hana Cafe — coffee, tea, sweets, fun locally made Hawaiʻi gifts… and of course, the obligatory photo behind their iconic tour-bus stand-up. 📸🌺

Yes, even a Maui local like me still loves doing the touristy things sometimes — because they’re FUN! 😍

🐮🤎 Cow cuddles in Hāna… and I completely fell in love.

These miniature cows are the sweetest, softest cuddlers. With those big gentle eyes and fluffy faces, it feels like a childhood teddy bear somehow came to life. 🧸✨

Petting them brought me right back to that pure, childlike feeling of joy and love. There’s something so calming about connecting with animals — that quiet exchange of affection and trust can help regulate our nervous systems and bring us right into the present moment. It’s simply good for the soul. 🤍

POV: You pull over for a quick stop on the Road to Hana… and it turns into the best part of your day. 🌿💙

A refreshing cold plunge at the beautiful roadside swimming spot across from the rest area about 25–30 minutes before Hana… complete with easy parking, restrooms, and picnic tables.

Then, just 15 minutes farther down the road, I rewarded myself with vegan coconut ice cream at the original Coconut Glen’s bus. 🍨🥥 My picks? Ube Plum + Mint Matcha Tea—10/10, absolutely worth the stop.

The perfect ending: enjoying every bite while sitting against the iconic fallen tree before heading to Hana Maui Luxe. ✨

Before you hit the Road to Hana, do yourself a favor and make a Paia pit stop. 🌺☕🍵

First stop: matcha magic at STORY. Nothing like starting the day with a perfectly crafted matcha (or coffee if that’s your vibe) while soaking up the laid-back North Shore energy.

Then it’s a short stroll to the Dharma Center Prayer Stupa, where I spin the prayer wheel and send out a little extra aloha. 💛✨ For my family, friends, loved ones, our community, and the world. May all beings be happy, healthy, peaceful, and free. A daily moment of Metta, kindness, and gratitude.
