What a weekend at Pioneer Days! Despite the summer heat, the community showed up and made it another unforgettable year at Old Fort Harrod State Park.

This annual event is always a favorite, filled with history, fun, music, food, and so many familiar faces. Thank you to the organizers, attendees, vendors, entertainers, and everyone who played a part in keeping this tradition alive!

We’re proud to have such a strong community event right here in Mercer County, and we can’t wait to see you all back again next year!

This month, we’re giving you a sneak peek at one of Harrodsburg’s favorite summer traditions — Pioneer Days at Old Fort Harrod State Park, happening August 14–17! From live music and food trucks to craft vendors, wrestling, a car show, and much more — this family-friendly event is packed with fun for all ages!

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill Craft Fair
August 2-3
10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Shaker Village is set to host one of the region’s top artisan events—the 28th Annual Craft Fair at Shaker Village, happening this Saturday and Sunday, August 2–3.

Explore over 90 talented vendors offering handmade pottery, jewelry, rugs, leather goods, glassware, floral designs, and more. Enjoy artisan demos, live music, food trucks, and a visit to the Shaker Village Bar.

Cost:
Ages 5 & Under: FREE
Ages 6-12: $5.00
Ages 13-61: $12.00
62 & Older, Veterans, Military and First Responders: $10.00

-Admission includes access to historic tours and exhibits across the property.

What an incredible weekend at the Fun & Sun Fest! 🎉

We were proud to see hundreds of families enjoying a free day of inflatables, music, food, and fun — right here in Mercer County.

Events like this are made possible in part thanks to our Restaurant Tax, which allows us to fund community-focused events for people of all ages. The Fun & Sun Fest is just one example of how these funds are being used to bring people together and help our community grow.

For the 2025–26 Fiscal Year, $400,000 has been allocated to support local non-profits and events, including:
