Bourbon in the Bluegrass covers the two things Kentucky is known for in a single day. Distilleries in the morning, horse country in the afternoon, both drawn from the same land and the same limestone water.

Every September, the thoroughbred world turns its attention back to Lexington for the yearling sales. It's a good reminder that the farms behind those sales are the real story here, and most of them sit behind gates you can't get through on your own. Our horse farm tours get you past the fence line and into the working side of the industry. 🐎

September is National Bourbon Heritage Month, which in Kentucky just means everyone finally has an excuse to celebrate what they already love. Spend a day on the Bourbon Trail with a guide who knows which distilleries reward the drive and which stories the standard tour leaves out. 🥃

3 things to know before booking any Kentucky bourbon tour.

Group size matters. Smaller groups mean more stops, more questions answered, and a better tasting experience overall. Our signature tour vans run 10 to 14, and our custom private tours scale up from there.

Not all tours cover the same distilleries. Ask specifically which stops are included before you book anywhere.

Morning departures are cooler, less crowded, and distilleries are fresher and more relaxed early in the day.

We're happy to help you figure out which tour is the right fit. Contact and we'll point you in the right direction.

Myth: All bourbon tours are basically the same.
Fact: Group size changes the whole day.

Big coach buses mean rushed stops, missed questions, and standing in the back of a crowded tasting room. We run small groups of 10 to 14 in comfortable vans, which means more time at each distillery and a guide who actually gets to know your group.

Same distilleries. Very different experience.

"He made sure we were always on time without feeling rushed."

That's from a Google review of a recent work outing with us. The driver was Mike. The group got historical context at every stop, real time in the gift shops, and a full day that didn't feel packed.

Small groups make this possible. Ten to fourteen people, one guide who knows every distillery on the route, and a pace that fits your group.

August in Kentucky is beautiful, hot, and very busy on the bourbon trail.

Tasting rooms fill up early. Distilleries hit capacity by mid-morning. And driving yourself from Lexington to Bardstown and back in your own car on a 90-degree day gets old fast.

Our small-group tours handle all of it. Air-conditioned vans, groups of 10 to 14, and a guide who takes care of scheduling, reservations, and the drive so you can enjoy the day.

Weekend spots go fast this month. Contact us to see what's still open.
