We traveled to Wichita to visit family and planned to spend a few hours at the zoo while we were there. We did not expect to be as impressed as we were by the Sedgwick County Zoo!

Beautiful exhibits, plenty of shade, easy paths for little ones, and so many up-close animal experiences—it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. If you're visiting Wichita (or even just passing through), it's absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.

Just another reminder that some of the best travel experiences can be found where you least expect them. 🦒🐘🦩

One of my favorite things to plan into a trip itinerary? Food tours 🍴

Some of my absolute favorite travel memories have come from wandering through cities one bite at a time:

Not every Disney trip goes smoothly… and ours definitely had its share of moments 😂

On this trip we had:
• a toddler “situation” that led to an emergency outfit upgrade in public
• an enthusiastic attempt at walking that ended in a knees vs pavement debate (pavement won)
• a mobile order that aged like fine wine… very slowly
• unexpected “surprise blessings” from overhead wildlife 🐦
• weather that clearly missed the memo and went straight to summer mode
• and a personal quest to locate literally any place to refill a water bottle like it was a side quest in a video game

10/10 would go again. Very organized itinerary… with frequent unscheduled interruptions.

But honestly? We laughed, we survived, and we made memories that are definitely funnier now that we’re home 😂✨
