The second half of July (yes, we’re a little behind on our posts!) was packed with incredible wildlife action. 🐋

We had plenty of orca sightings, bubble-net feeding humpbacks, bears cruising the beaches, and of course, our man-overboard drills to make sure we’re staying sharp and on top of our safety and logistics.

We were incredibly lucky to have such beautiful weather throughout the second half of July, making for some unforgettable days on the water!

Stay tuned for what August had in store as we get within two weeks of wrapping up our 2026 season. It’s hard to believe we’re almost there! 🐋

Captain Casey offloaded over 7,000 pictures this week and this was the only clear breach shot he got 🤯

It puts things into perspective on how tedious it can be to capture a breach. If you saw a breach on one of our tours and didn’t capture it, here’s what it may have looked like 😉

With engines in neutral, close encounters with extremely curious killer whales can happen. This pod came and checked us out, communicating with each other about how shiny our boat was I’m sure 😉

The first week of July was jam-packed with nonstop wildlife action!

We saw a sharp uptick in orca sightings as the salmon run pulsed into our area, bringing the apex predators right into our backyard.

We also had a flurry of bubble-net feeding, including one of the largest pods we’ve ever seen—20+ humpbacks feeding together, led by none other than the legend himself, Ruffles! 🐋

Calm seas, clear skies, incredible wildlife, and happy guests made for an unforgettable start to July!

Stay tuned for more highlights from an action-packed month! 🫍🐋

We wrapped up June with incredible whale sightings and beautiful weather!

For much of the second half of the month, we found ourselves at one of our favorite whale hotspots—Point Adolphus—where the action never seemed to stop.

Cold, nutrient-rich water, massive schools of fish, and abundant wildlife made for consistently unforgettable tours.

We saw more humpback flukes than we could count, caught several exciting breaches, and were surrounded by playful Steller sea lions along the way.

Stay tuned for our July highlights, plus some featured posts showcasing the incredible bubble-net feeding we were lucky enough to witness over the past few weeks. You won’t want to miss them!

BREACH!! 🤯🐋

One of the most exciting events in nature!

No one knows exactly why humpback whales breach, but one thing is certain: it’s a rare behavior and incredibly difficult to capture on camera.

This video is a compilation of some of the unforgettable breaching moments our crew and amazing guests have captured over the last 1½ summers.

Join us this summer—or next—and with a little luck, you might experience one of nature’s most breathtaking displays for yourself!

The first two weeks of June have flown by, and what an incredible start to the month it’s been!

Some of our favorite bubble-netters rolled into town for several days, treating us to spectacular feeding displays wherever they went.

After more than a month without a sighting, orcas finally returned in a big way! We’ve enjoyed a flurry of encounters, including one pod of 30+ orcas cruising through the area.

Add in breaching humpbacks, breaching orcas, bears roaming the shoreline, and plenty of sea lions, and it’s safe to say June has already delivered some unforgettable moments.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of June has in store!
