Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. First update on the parking lot maintenance… Both the restrooms and parking lot are scheduled to be reopened today at 12:00. It’s been a lengthy process, but one that had to happen. Give credit to the County and City of Indian Rocks Beach employees who have been working out here every single day to get it fixed. Last week was not good working conditions, and it was not an easy task. Nice job to both on the project. On the beach this morning, really nice conditions with clear skies and a lite breeze. Temps in the mid 80s this afternoon with a chance of scattered showers late in the day or evening. Most of the day should be good, but I would say earlier the better. Looking ahead, we have a front that will be moving through the area tonight and into tomorrow. Current forecast has rain in the morning around the coast. Behind that rain, we expect windy conditions for several days. For the weekend if you’re counting on our service, please reach out to us before you head our way. It’s likely we will be on delay in the morning. It appears fall season may be arriving. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Beautiful morning on the coast with clear skies and a lite breeze. Warming up this afternoon into the mid 80s and no rain in the forecast. Parking lot and restrooms are almost completed with the maintenance but still closed for today. We are open and operating as normal. Looking ahead for the next several days tomorrow looks similar as today. This weekend we have a front moving through, which will bring down temps some and expected to be a little windy. Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Beautiful morning on the coast with clear skies and a bright sun. Low humidity with a breeze out of the north. Warming up this afternoon into the mid 80s and overall really nice beach conditions. The parking lot and restrooms remain closed, but we are open and operating as normal. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Beautiful morning on the coast with clear skies and a bright sun. Low humidity and comfortable with temps in the 80s this afternoon. We are back open today and operating normal on the beach, however the restrooms and parking lot are still closed for maintenance. Overall really nice beach conditions. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Starting out with clear skies, and a steady north wind. The front has moved through the area and took the humidity with it. Dry air is a relief with cool mornings and evenings. Temps this afternoon in the 80’s with a nice breeze. Overall sunny comfortable conditions. On a sidenote, they are close to wrapping up the maintenance projects, but it’s not complete yet. We will stay closed today as they finish up. We will keep you posted. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Starting out with a few showers out in the Gulf making there way towards the coast. Forecast calls for this be around for the first half of the day and clearing up in the afternoon. We have really nice changes on the way with a front from the north. We will finally get out of the humid/rainy pattern. The week ahead looks more like October with no rain, low humidity, and temps in the 80’s. The parking lot and restrooms remain closed as they are close to wrapping up the maintenance project. We will also stay closed today but should be back open soon. Have a great Sunday Funday!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Starting out with some clouds and some sun. Warm and humid with a south breeze. Gulf is choppy with a rip current advisory. Not a good idea to be in the water. Scattered showers and storms out in the Gulf and expected to be off and on throughout the day. If you were counting on our service, we will stay closed for today. The annual Octoberfest is happening at Kolb Park and always a fun event. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Starting out with some clouds and some sun. Breezy and comfortable. Forecast calls for more passing showers and storms in the afternoon with windy conditions for the next couple of days. Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall later tonight in the Florida panhandle. For us that could lead to additional rain and an elevated high tide but not a major impact. The County park remains closed for the maintenance project. Based on that and the rainy/windy forecast we will stay closed as well. Should be back to normal schedule in a couple of days we will keep you posted. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Several things to talk about this morning…

First-Congratulations to the City of Indian Rocks Beach on winning Best Beach Town in Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay contest! What a well-deserved honor for our beautiful beach community!

Second-Hurricane Isaias. The track of the storm is pretty well locked in on the Northern Gulf including some of the Florida panhandle. For our area the impacts will be low. Forecast calls for windy conditions on Friday and Saturday with about 1-3 foot rise in the high tide. Expected to be far enough away for any big impacts on our coast. We will be thinking about our neighbors to the north as we all know what damage these storms can cause.

Onto our report for today. Rainy conditions continue. Rounds of scattered showers and storms could be at any point throughout the day. Temps around 80 with mainly an offshore wind. Similar conditions for the next couple days and we should start getting back to normal by later in the weekend. Brighter and better days ahead for next week as the extended forecast looks really nice. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Currently rain moving in off of the Gulf and expected to continue to do so off and on throughout the day. Looks like more of the same for the next several days. Everyone keeping an eye on the storm that has developed and expected to become a Hurricane soon. Forecast continues to show that to be well to the west of us, but we may get some additional rain and choppy conditions for the weekend. Overall we will have to sit it out for a few more days, next week is looking nice and back to normal. We will continue to stay closed until all of this clears up. Have a great day!
