Kyan Klinger is one of our dockhands. He is from an aviation family and most of the men in his family are pilots.

Favorite thing about the job: “Working on the docks and near the ocean.”

Fun fact: He swam in Italy

Sam Swingle is one of our pilots. He grew up in Southeast and has flown all over the state(The Slope, Interior, Denali, Bristol Bay). He has always loved floatplanes.

Favorite thing about the job: “Getting to live the dream. Flying my favorite types of aircraft in the prettiest place in the world.”

Fun Fact: He has flown the entirety of the trans-Alaska pipeline, which his grandpa helped build. He also once told a bear to get off his plane.

Katie Dossett is one of our flight coordinators and has been with us for 4 years!

Favorite thing about the job: “Getting to do and learn a wide variety of things everyday.”

Fun Fact: She won an essay contest to go to a fly-fishing camp in middle school.🎣

Jeff DeFreest is one of our beaver pilots. He started flying down south last century before transferring to SE Alaska in 2001. He started flying floatplanes with the civil air patrol in Juneau before transferring again to Ketchikan.

Favorite thing about the job: “The sound of a Beaver starting in the morning.”

Fun fact: He has ridden a motorcycle across the continent, a couple times.

Thomas Rud is one of our RSA’s. He started working for us in high school and that led him to pursue aviation in college.
