Still dreaming of the two Canaves hotels I visited while I was on Santorini this summer: Canaves Epitome and Canaves Ena

Canaves Epitome is located on the western side of the island and has the most incredible sunset views. The whole hotel is like a gorgeous oasis of green in the midst of the dry typography of the rest of Santorini. Plus their suites offer a level of privacy and relaxation not found in other parts of the island.

Pairing it with Canaves Ena is a great way to make the most of your time on Santorini. You can relax while also soaking up the caldera views and energy of Oia. The cosy dome shaped suites with sea views capture the unique style of the island.

Highly recommend splitting time between the two for an unforgettable stay on Santorini.

What to know when taking the ferry in Greece!

1. The ferries don’t stay in port very long. Follow the crowds and don’t dilly dally when getting on and off. They’ll leave you. Or leave with you.

2. There are different seat classes. The main differences are in the size of the seat and the location on the boat with the more expensive seats on the upper deck.

3. When the wind picks up, the seas get rough. Pack your Dramamine just in case. Seriously.

4. They offer food and beverages for purchase on board. The Greek pastries are quite good.

5. Don’t be afraid to leave your luggage down on the luggage racks, but be sure to turn any rolling bags on their sides so they don’t roll away.

Taking the ferry between islands is quite the experience and not to be missed on any trip to Greece!

If the powder beach isn’t enough to calm nerves, the in-house spa certainly is, creating personalized detox and wellness plans, while the children can have fun at the excellent kids club, keeping them outside in the sand and olive trees.

100% recommend for any family wanting to stay somewhere beach-side on Crete.

With a movie room, spa, private heated pools, beach access, and more, it’s the ideal spot to recharge during a trip to Crete. Be sure to stay when they’re having one of their outdoor family style dinners for an authentic dining experience and incredible Cretan food!

The Dolli is a boutique hotel in the heart of Athens that blends modern Greek design with a soft, feminine aesthetic. Plus it has phenomenal views of the Acropolis from many rooms, the infinity pool and rooftop restaurant. We had dinner there and watched the sunset on the Parthenon while we ate an amazing grilled sea bass with fennel cream and lemon sauce.

The hotel is owned by two sisters and perfectly located between the old and new areas of Athens. Highly recommend for couple, mother/daughter, or girls trips.
