May the 4th be with you!

Galaxy’s Edge is one of my family’s favorite parts of any Disney vacation. I especially love all of the Magic Shots available, and the rare characters walking around.

One of the rarest sightings: the Mandalorian and Grogu. Mando and Grogu meet in Galaxy’s Edge and are often found near the marketplace, wandering through the area. There isn’t a line for meet and greets, but Mando will gesture guests to him when he’s ready to meet them. They will also move around pretty frequently to keep the crowds clear!

If you’re interested in a Magic shot from Galaxy’s Edge, just ask your Photo Pass photographer! They’ll be more than happy to drop a little magic into your photos ✨

Day 8: Hollywood Studios

Last park day was Hollywood Studios, starting in Toy Story Land and Toy Story Mania. I WON (that never happens), then we headed to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

We had a chance to see the new villain-themed show, Disney Villains - Unfairly Ever After and it was so much fun! Grabbed lunch at a favorite, Roundup Rodeo BBQ then took a mid-day break at the hotel.

When we made it back, it was all Star Wars: Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run and a park-closing time reservation at Oga’s Cantina. It’s our favorite way to end the day, and a fantastic way to close our park time this trip ❤️

Quick tip: During busy seasons, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance has a single rider queue. It’s a great way to beat the wait without a Lightning Lane Single Pass. This is only a good option if you are ok being split up as a party!

Day 7: Epcot 🌎

Epcot is a family favorite, we love to hit up all of the festival booths at whatever festival is going on that month! In the spring it's the Flower & Garden Festival. We ate our way around world showcase, stopping in at the France pavilion to test out the now 2-D version of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.

We did some shopping in the pavilions while we waited for Guardians of the Galaxy to open back up, then did dinner at one of our favorites, La Hacienda de San Angel. The avocado margarita is THE. BEST. 🥑

We ended the night by (finally!) getting to ride Guardians, then watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Polynesian.

Quick Tip: you can collect stamps throughout the festival booths to redeem for a free snack after you collect all of the stamps! Each passport will have more details on the back pages of which snacks qualify, and how to redeem.

Day 6: Magic Kingdom 🏰

We got a late start to the day - rope dropping isn't for everyone 😉. We were able to see a bit of the parade and then used to our Lightning Lanes. Since we planned to take advantage of extended evening hours, we headed back to the Polynesian for a mid-day break.

The kids took full advantage of the beach in front of our patio, and got in some volleyball and relaxing.

After a quick dinner at Tutto Italia at Epcot, we made our way back to Magic Kingdom just in time for the Starlight Parade. Watching the kids’ faces during the parade was definitely a highlight ❤️

We were able to grab a late night reservation at Beak and Barrel and closed the place down, then managed to ride Little Mermaid, Tomorrowland Speedway, Space Mountain, and TRON in the final hour.

Quick tip: Disney Deluxe Resort guests get extended evening hours at select parks throughout the week. That means you get an extra 2 hours in the park after everyone leaves. It’s a great way to get in a ton of rides in very little time!

Day 5: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Our stay started with a magical touch: as soon as we arrived, we saw the cast member for the King Kamehameha Club for check in. After giving my last name, she replied, “Oh Ms Kristen, we’re ready for you!” Pure magic ✨✨

We enjoyed some snacks in the Club lounge, before heading to lunch at Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. After lunch, I relaxed by the pool with a book while the kids enjoyed the Lava Pool.

And to cap off a fantastic relaxing day, we watched the Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom right from our patio of our room.

It was the perfect way to start our Disney stay!

Quick tip: even if your room isn’t ready, you can still use the pool at your Disney resort at any time on your check in day! You can leave bags with bell services while you swim if your room isn’t ready, and they’ll deliver to your room when it’s available!

Day 4 of our vacation was a bit of relaxing and bit of Epic Universe. We started the day with an amazing breakfast at Flora Taverna at our hotel. We’d just been there for dinner and the breakfast was just as incredible. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you’re staying at Helios Grand Hotel!

We spent a good chunk of the day at the Lotus Lagoon pool. It was huge, with plenty of seating, music, beach balls for playing, and poolside drink service (yes, please 🍹)

We ended the day by heading back into Epic Universe to see the Untrainable Dragon show which we’d missed the previous visit and it was so much fun! We were able to ride some favorites before park close, then made our way to City Walk for a late dinner and some Voodoo Donuts for dessert 🍩

It was our last full day at Universal before making the switch to Disney, so we made the most of it!

Quick tip: skip the loooong lines at Voodoo Donuts by placing a mobile order in the Universal app. We placed our order, walked in, and picked up, all within 5 minutes and skipped the line at the counter. Mobile ordering for the win 🙌🏼

We spent day 3 at Universal’s Epic Universe, and enjoyed every bit of it. This was our second time visiting Epic, so we revisited some favorites and hit some rides that we missed the first visit.

For this part of the trip, we moved over to the Helios Grand Hotel. I LOVE this hotel- it’s absolutely gorgeous and the convenience of being connected to Epic can’t be beat. It took us less than 60 seconds to go through security and enter the park. Totally worth it 🙌🏼

We ended the night at Bar Helios, the rooftop bar of our hotel. The drinks were great and they had fun mocktail options for the kids!

Tip for Epic: Crowds thin out significantly within 90 minutes of park close. We got in a lot of rides in very little time by hitting some bigger rides in the 90 minutes before closing time!
