🚨 SAVE THIS if you’re flying in or out of Orlando anytime in 2026 or 2027!

As if being stranded on the BWI tarmac for 2hrs before being taken back to the gate & delayed another 2hrs wasn’t enough, we were forced to take the not so scenic route at MCO to get to baggage claim.

Did you know ⁉️ MCO is currently refurbishing its gate link tram, which takes passengers to and from baggage claim. During the day, one tram runs normally. BUT if you land late at night, you have to take a detour & it WILL add time to your travel. The finished gate link tram project will be amazing, but right now you should be prepared for this!

Here’s how it went for us:
Deplane ➡️ walk past inactive gate link tram ➡️ head outside & down a ramp ➡️ board a bus to drive you around the airport ➡️ exit bus and walk back up a different ramp ➡️ board a working gate link tram to transport you to the baggage claim terminal

At 1am in the morning after 4.5 hours of delays, this was the cherry on top of a very rough travel day 🙃

It truly goes to show that air travel is unpredictable and to always prepare for snags & snafus!

PLOT TWIST: this was a concierge booking on a placeholder, so technically a portion of the deposit was already paid. It was not prompting me to even add vacation protection when trying to book online!

Lucky for my clients - I’ve got Disney on speed dial 😉 A quick call later & they were all set with their reservation, deposit, and travel protection!

Your relationship with your travel agent should be built on trust! Ask friends for recommendations, read agent reviews, check out their social media, get on the phone and TALK to them.

Onboard credit & kickbacks are nice, but what’s even nicer is knowing your agent has your back every step of the way!
