I meant to share this a while ago! But better late than never!

This is one of the paid excursions you can do at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, when on a Disney Cruise!

Its about 1 hr long.
Min age is 5 years old (although if your kiddo is timid, I'd wait til theyre a bit older).
You learn about the rays, feed and pet them!
Then you get to snorkel with them!

Snorkeling is one of my favorite things to do on vacation, and I actually prefer this excursion to doing the snorkel trail at Castaway Cay.

All this being said, you can have a great beach day at Castaway without paying extra for any excursion!

Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is a 1-hour interactive excursion. You get to learn about and feed gentle stingrays (who have their barbs safely and painlessly trimmed) before snorkeling alongside them in a private lagoon.

Minimum age is 5, but I do recommend kids be a little older because we saw many kids who were scared of the rays and didnt want to snorkel! So just keep that in mind prior to booking this excursion, especially if you have a timid kiddo!

Room with 2 Double beds

This resort pretty much only has standard rooms w/2 double beds (sleeps 4) or w/1 king bed and a sleeper sofa (sleeps 3).

The room was spacious, but felt somewhat outdated and the double beds were not big enough for us!!

Since this is NOT a full Disney owned and operated resort (it's owned by Marriott).. they do charge a nightly resort fee AND a parking fee as well.. Something to be aware of!

After disembarking the cruise ship, we took the Disney Cruise Line bus back to Disney and spent the rest of our day at EPCOT!

We got a lot done in a partial day we arrived around noon and left at 8 pm. We rode all the rides EXCEPT Mission Space, which I've never rode since it's known as the worst ride in all of Disney for motion sickness. Should I give it a try someday or no? 🤔

Our park strategy:

We previously bought LLMP had LLs for:
- Frozen
- Soarin
- Spaceship Earth
I bought LLSP for Guardians as well.

Everything was scheduled for noon or after.

My family used the single rider line for Test Track and Remy's, which saved alot of time! We just didnt get to ride together.

As we used our LLs from LLMP, we booked LLs for all the other attractions that we wanted to do in the park - Journey into the Imagination w/Figment, Living with the Land, Under the Sea w/Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush (def didnt need a LL for this). These were all widely available later in the day.

And we rode Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico, which is quite possibly my favorite ride in EPCOT! It's totally underrated!

We also tried San Angel Restaurante in the Mexico pavilion for the first time. OMG I loved it! I regret waiting so long to try it!

But, as always, there were things we DIDN'T get to.. which means another reason to go back 🙃! The kids didn't get to do Moana Journey of Water walkthrough - they've never done that yet and I know they'd love it! We just ran out of time and it was really hot to walk around!

Then there was a crazy lightning storm as we walked back to our resort and I was low key scared for our lives! But it looked really cool!

We spent a day at Castaway Cay, which is Disney's private island in the Bahamas!! I love that you can just walk off the ship and have a fun beach day included without having to arrange and pay for an excursion!!!

The water was very flat and clear til it got crowded. We were able to swim out to a sandbar, where we hung out for a while in the ocean. People near us said they saw a stingray, but we didnt see it!

After that the boys wanted to go snorkeling.. so I took them out. I personally don't love the snorkeling on this island. I ended up getting like a migraine/motion sickness and had to basically lay down the rest of the day so I hardly got any pics!!

As we we're getting back on the ship, we ran into Captain Hook and Mr Smee!!
