After spending Halloween night at Oogie Boogie Bash last year, I completely get why… 🎃

👻 The crowds were the lowest I’ve ever seen. Limited capacity means anyone who missed out plans a different trip. Fewer people in the parks means everyone that is there really LOVES Halloween!!!

🕷️ Speaking of which… the costumes are unreal! Guests are stopping each other for photos and compliments all night long and it makes the whole crowd so warm and friendly.

🕸️ Watching adults and kids trick or treating together completely lost in the magic is pure joy. Even the grumpiest people act like kids again. It’s like reliving your best childhood Halloween with your entire family, but way better!

🎃 Maybe it’s the sugar rush 😂, but the energy made for the happiest, most enthusiastic crowd I’ve ever been in. Seriously unlike anything I’ve experienced. Top tier vibes.

🦇 SoCal weather this time of year is absolute perfection.

🎄 Bonus: California Adventure is fully decked out for Halloween, but Christmas is already quietly creeping into Disneyland. It’s exciting to get a sneak peek. 👀

Everyone wants a reservation at the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean, but is Blue Bayou actually worth it?

I don’t think so, and here’s why.

Even booking 60 days out, getting a table by the water is far from guaranteed. And if you’re not right next to the water, the magic is gone. (Water table tips coming in a future reel. Follow so you don’t miss it.)

The food doesn’t do you any favors either. I don’t know how they manage to make pricey prime rib taste bad, but they do. And the whole meal feels rushed from the moment you sit down. Hard to enjoy the ambiance when cast members are practically clearing your plate before you’re finished.

So what’s the better option? Café Orleans!

Dine outside at night and soak up everything New Orleans Square has to offer. The service is unmatched and the food is divine. Bonus: you’ll still have money left over for mint juleps and beignets. 😋

Same magical corner of the park. Better food, better service, better value.

📌 Save this for your next Disney trip!

Activating Chewie Mode is much easier than it sounds!

The key is everyone focuses on one simple job.

Here is exactly what each person does:

LEFT SIDE PILOT: Put the joystick into the extreme position. Left side goes either all the way to the left or all the way to the right. Once the joystick is all the way to the right or left, hold it in that position and then press the activate button.

RIGHT SIDE PILOT: Put the joystick into the extreme position. RIGHT side goes either all the way up or all the way down. Once the joystick is all the way up or down, hold it in that position and then press the activate button.

GUNNERS & ENGINEERS: Next to each seat is a display panel. All you have to do is press and hold one of the white buttons directly next to the display. While holding the white button you can then press your activation button.

📍Make sure everyone completes these steps before the Cast Member checks your seatbelts and hits their confirmation button.

That’s it!!! If everyone did it correctly you will hear Chewbacca’s voice instead of Hondo’s.

Excitement level is a 10/10 when your group successfully activates this together and feels so accomplished!! ✨
