I’ve done Disney both ways staying onsite AND staying offsite. So I absolutely see the value in both! 🏰❤️
For me, it’s not about one being better than the other. It’s about what works best for my family on THAT particular trip.
One trip we chose to stay offsite because we were doing Disney After Hours at night, and during the day our priority was slowing down, cooking together and just spending time as a family. For that trip, offsite made perfect sense!
But most of the time, I prefer staying on Disney property simply for the convenience. And with a family, that convenience can be HUGE. 😂
Someone tired? They can easily head back to the room. Someone hungry? They can grab something without me cooking or cleaning. 😂 If some of us are done for the day but someone else wants to go back into a park, they can!
I especially love it with older teens because they have the freedom to hop around to the parks or Disney Springs without everyone having to do the same thing. No driving. No traffic. No coordinating who has the car. 🙌
And staying at a Disney resort can be part of the fun too! Hanging out together in the arcade, eating in the dining hall or at a resort restaurant, swimming, and just enjoying the resort.
Sometimes we’re going because my family needs Mama’s cooking… and sometimes we’re going because Mama needs a BREAK from cooking! 😂😂 And both are perfectly good reasons!
Either way, the goal is the same: you don’t want to miss a thing. ❤️ Choose what makes the most sense for your family and the kind of trip you’re taking so you can enjoy your time together without feeling like you missed out.
I’ve done both, and I’ll continue to do both. ❤️
There really isn’t one right answer. It’s about what fits YOUR family, YOUR budget and YOUR trip! 🏰✨
