This family hasn’t been to Disneyland in years, and now they’re planning their first trip there together — for their daughter’s birthday. 💛

It’s a strange thing to think about, but it puts these years into perspective.

There are only so many summers when everyone lives under the same roof. So many school breaks when you can pack the car and go. So many years when a family vacation still means the whole family.

That doesn’t mean every trip needs to be expensive, elaborate, or picture-perfect. Sometimes it’s a big vacation. Sometimes it’s a weekend away. Sometimes it’s just saying yes when it would be easier to stay home.

Because eventually there will be jobs, college, relationships, and schedules of their own—and getting everyone in the same place at the same time won’t be quite so simple.

So when we can, we’re going to take the trip.

Not because we need to give our kids a childhood filled with vacations, but because we want to make the most of the years when we still get to experience life together like this.

These years are a small part of our lifetime with them.

But they’ll be a big part of their childhood.

Disney Villains Land just got a BIG update at D23 tonight!

We finally got more details on the two major attractions coming to Villains Land at Magic Kingdom:

🐉 MALEFICENT COASTER
One of the rides will be a coaster inspired by Maleficent, taking guests through her dark, twisted briar-filled world. The concept art looks incredible and this could end up being one of the most dramatic attractions in Magic Kingdom.

🪞 MAGIC MIRROR ATTRACTION
The second ride will be an indoor attraction centered around the Magic Mirror from Snow White. Disney hasn’t confirmed the ride system yet, but the concept art really makes it look like guests could be traveling through parts of the attraction on water.

The land itself also looks amazing — twisted trees, dark pathways, dramatic architecture, and details inspired by some of Disney’s most iconic villains.

There will also be themed dining and shopping, so this is going to be a full new land to explore, not just two rides!

Here’s what Disney just revealed:

❄️ Frozen 3 — new footage was shown, including a royal wedding and a tease of a mysterious new threat.

💥 Incredibles 3 — officially part of Pixar’s upcoming movie slate.

🦊 Zootopia 3 — officially in development.

🏺 Clay — a brand-new Walt Disney Animation Studios film is coming in 2028.

✨ Hexed — new footage and cast details were revealed for Disney Animation’s upcoming 2026 film.

💀 Coco 2 and 💥 Incredibles 3 — both are officially part of Pixar’s upcoming slate.

🏝️ Lilo & Stitch 2 — the live-action sequel is coming to theaters in 2028.

🔑 Kingdom Hearts — Disney is developing an original animated Kingdom Hearts series, and Kingdom Hearts IV will feature a Coco world.

🦸 X-Men — Marvel officially revealed the cast of its new MCU X-Men movie, including Kit Connor, Sadie Sink, Christopher Abbott, Inde Navarrette, Maya Boyd and Adam Driver.

🚀 Star Wars: Starfighter — Ryan Gosling revealed that he plays Kade Auberon in the new standalone Star Wars movie, arriving May 28, 2027.
