If you're a Canadian or U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa to visit Mexico for tourism, business, or transit stays up to 180 days. All you need is a valid passport that is valid for 6 months past travel.

Today isn’t just about tacos and margaritas (though we love those too!) - it’s a chance to recognize and celebrate Mexican culture, history, and resilience.

Did you know? Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day (that’s September 16). It actually commemorates the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, when a small, outnumbered Mexican army defeated the powerful French forces. While it’s actually minor holiday in Mexico, it's become a big celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, especially in the U.S.
