🍂🐴 OUR LAST WEEK OF RIDES! 🐴🍂

This fall has been absolutely beautiful, and we’re hoping to squeeze in one last week of horseback riding before the season comes to an end! ❤️

We are tentatively planning to offer rides Monday–Friday, weather permitting.🌦️ With the rain in the forecast, our schedule may change, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a few more beautiful days on the trails!

If you’ve been wanting to experience the magic of fall on horseback, now is the time to book your ride!

🍂🐴 A Bittersweet Goodbye to Our 2026 Riding Season 🐴🍁

As much as we love watching Leavenworth transform into a beautiful autumn wonderland, the changing season also brings some bittersweet news. ❤️🍂

The fall colors have been absolutely breathtaking, with the maple leaves turning beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow. Unfortunately, as the weather begins to change, conditions are no longer permitting us to safely continue our horseback riding season.

With heavy hearts, our last day of rides will be October 20th. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us this season, made memories with our horses, and allowed us to share the beauty of Leavenworth with you. Your support means the world to us! 🤎

If you’ve been hoping to experience a beautiful fall horseback ride with us, there is still a little time left to join us before we wrap up for the season! 🍁🐎

Did you know horses have special whiskers around their muzzle and eyes that help them sense the world around them? 🤎

These sensitive whiskers help horses feel objects nearby, judge distances, and explore their surroundings — especially when they can’t see something clearly! 🐎🌿

That means those little whiskers are more important than you might think! 🥹

🐴✨ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ✨🐴

Did you know horses can sense and respond to human emotions?

Horses are incredibly observant and can pick up on our body language, facial expressions, voice, and even changes in our heart rate. When we’re calm and relaxed, they may become more relaxed too. When we’re nervous or stressed, they can notice those changes and react accordingly. 🥹

It’s one of the reasons the bond between a horse and human can feel so special — sometimes, they understand how we’re feeling without us saying a word. ❤️

Horses don’t just listen to us… they pay attention to us. ✨

🐴💗 HORSE FUN FACT! 💗🐴

Did you know horses can sleep both standing up AND lying down? 😴

Thanks to a special system in their legs called the stay apparatus, horses can relax their muscles and rest while standing without falling over! 🐎✨

But horses still need to lie down sometimes for deeper, more restful sleep.

It’s because horses are prey animals! Having their eyes positioned on the sides gives them a much wider field of vision, helping them spot potential predators approaching from different directions. 🌿👀

Fun (or not so fun in this case) fact Friday. Horses are very sensitive to wildfire smoke and bad air. Because they are large athletes that breathe huge amounts of air—especially when moving or working out—tiny smoke particles go deep into their lungs. This causes airway swelling, coughing, and trouble breathing. In order to protect our horses we have unfortunately had to cancel or postpone many horseback rides this summer due to unhealthy air quality. This is our view of the smoke coming from “little giant” fire.
