Today, we join millions around the world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton.

More than a music icon, Dolly was one of Tennessee’s greatest ambassadors, sharing the beauty, culture, and spirit of our state with generations of visitors. Through her music, philanthropy, and unwavering love for her Tennessee roots, she inspired people from all walks of life and helped shine a spotlight on the place we proudly call home.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and the countless fans whose lives she touched.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing the world the heart of Tennessee. ❤️

Ever wonder who's behind the posts, events, and everything we do to promote Wilson County? Meet the team that’s passionate about sharing the place we call home!

👔 Meet Jason- Director of Tourism

When he's not in the office, you'll find him camping with his family in our local parks, boating on our local lakes, or playing sports Uber for his kids. His favorite part of the job is getting to show visitors just how wonderful our home is.

📋 Meet Destiny- Administrative Assistant

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her son and exploring local adventures. Her favorite part of the job is getting hands-on with events and supporting our local small businesses.

📱 Meet Brittany- Marketing Specialist

When she's not creating content, she enjoys hiking, going to concerts, and spending time with her husband and fur babies. Her favorite part of the job is working with local small businesses and showcasing what makes Wilson County so special.

As you explore Wilson County, you may notice bright red sand filling cracks in sidewalks throughout our community.

The Red Sand Project is a global awareness campaign that shines a light on human trafficking and the people who can often go unseen. This simple but powerful visual serves as a reminder to stay aware, start conversations, and support efforts to end human trafficking.

We are also proud to officially proclaim July 19–25 as Red Sand Project Awareness Week here in Wilson County, joining communities around the world in raising awareness and standing against human trafficking.
