As part of our nation’s 250th anniversary, communities across the nation are gathering to hear a historic reading of the Declaration of Independence on the exact date it was first read aloud to the public.

In Kentucky, America250KY is gathering at the Old State Capitol in Frankfort on July 8. The Sons of the American Revolution Governor Isaac Shelby Chapter will open the event with a fife-and-drum presentation. After this hear special guests read from our nation’s founding document and reflect on the past 250 years of American history.
