The trick: pre-purchase Leaky Cauldron breakfast vouchers through a travel advisor like me (only works on mornings the park opens at 10am, not 9am).

At 9am you're escorted through a totally quiet park with time to eat a tasty breakfast and enjoy a quiet Wizarding World before Early Entry begins. Take photos, cast spells…enjoy!

Disney Cruise Line just extended its booking calendar for all guests, and it got me thinking about how differently “book early” plays out across the board. ✨

Here’s how far out you can currently book Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Orlando Resort. 👀

Why it matters:
The earlier you book, the more availability and the better rates you’ll find (especially with DCL, where prices typically only go up from here). I monitor pricing after booking and apply any new promos or discounts the moment they drop, so you get the best deal without lifting a finger.✨

The room where mom gets her own space AND the kids get real-life zebras and giraffes. 🦓✨

My family recently stayed in a 1-bedroom villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village and this is the PERFECT family of 5 setup: king bedroom, queen + twin Murphy beds in the living room, 2 full bathrooms, and a full kitchen for easy park-day mornings. The couch alone fits everyone for a rainy movie night. 🍿

Head to the viewing stations or a meal at Sanaa and the kids get to spot savannah animals (or better yet, book a savannah view room). 🦒

This resort has one of the best water play areas for littles. Slide, have a water spray battle, then slide again.😄👏

Parking is on the bottom floor, so you’re not having to walk a mile to get to your room. Bonus: the rooms were just renovated with the cutest Lion King touches, and this 90s girl is nostalgic. 🦁

p.s. - Kidani is a Disney Vacation Club resort, but you don’t need to be a member to stay here. As a travel agent, I can book it for you, studio to 3-bedroom grand villa.

I recently had a phone chat with 2 separate families. The outcome of those calls could not be more different! ✨

Family 1: first-timers to Disney World, coaster fanatics, ready to maximize every single minute. We made the call together to cancel all their dining reservations so they can prioritize thrill experiences. 🎢

Family 2: returning clients with foodies who are so excited to visit old favorites and try new experiences. Dining reservations nearly everyday of their trip. 🍽️

Same destination. Two completely different plans built around what actually matters to each family. And both will be amazing.

When I first started traveling with my kids, the vacation itself didn’t intimidate me, but the many questions I had did. 🫣

Mostly the logistical things. I spent hours researching the best character meals and how to get from A to B. I did it on my own. Now my trips are so incredibly easy to navigate, but it didn’t start that way.

The upgrade you’ve probably never considered... ✨

You arrive at port and are welcomed into a private lounge before being whisked directly onto your Disney Cruise Line ship…no crowds, no waiting around.

You duck into your own private lounge for gourmet bites all day, then head up to a secluded sundeck where the towels and sunscreen are already waiting for you. 🕶️

That night, your seats for the Broadway-style show are reserved. 👏 No rushing to the theater to fight for good seats.

And the whole time, a dedicated concierge team is booking your excursions and dining before anyone else even gets access.

This is Concierge cruising. Once you try it, you don’t go back. Just ask my Concierge family disembarking today that just booked another Concierge sailing. 😁

Just wait until you get home and frame this family photo... 📸

Most people line up to meet characters on the ship (and those lines can get long). But my favorite spot for character photos is actually on Disney’s island, Castaway Cay. 🏝️

The backdrops are out of this world, and most families are so locked into island activities that character meet & greets aren’t even on their radar.

Steal my approach:
✨ Get on the island early to snag a prime lounger and get settled
✨ Check the app for character meet & greet times
✨ Waits are usually short, and you can knock out multiple back to back (one with the ship backdrop, one with the Mt. Rustmore backdrop!)

I knew I was going to enjoy staying club level, but I didn’t consider this ⬇️⬇️

My family loves to snack. My kids eat like birds, and I thrive on small, frequent portions throughout the day.

So when we stayed Club Level at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort, having a lounge to visit morning, noon, and night for tasty light bites was incredibly convenient.

Now while we didn’t eat EVERY meal at the lounge (we were usually at the parks at lunch time), it was so nice to know breakfast was covered and snacks and drinks were available to us.

Would this suit your family? If you value convenience and are a family of snackers like mine, it just might. But if you plan to spend all day at the parks and need a full sit down option for most meals, perhaps not.
