Ljubljana, Slovenia is one of those cities that’s really easy to get the hang of. The center is compact, the river runs right through town, and you’ve got Ljubljana Castle sitting above it all. Plus, places like Lake Bled are close enough to make an easy day trip. If Slovenia isn’t on your radar yet, it probably should be.
