Sitting at the airport and just heard the agent say this flight is a “quick turn.”

A few people looked confused, which is fair.

A quick turn means the plane just arrived and is heading right back out with a short window to get everything ready. Same aircraft, often the same crew, just moving fast behind the scenes.

Because of that, some pre-departure services like welcome drinks may be reduced or skipped. It’s not about cutting corners, it’s about staying on schedule and focusing on what matters most.

Safety is never compromised. Every check is still completed and every procedure is followed before departure.

Once you’re in the air, service usually continues as normal.

Before any big trip, I always make photocopies or scans of my passport, ID and credit cards. According to CAEP, having copies acts as a safety net if your documents are lost or stolen . Duplicates can prove your identity and speed up replacement at embassies or hotels , and keeping them separate from the originals gives me peace of mind . Do you back up your travel documents before you head out?

The idea that “the world is a book” comes from a 1670 travel book by Richard Lassels. He wrote that our planet is a “great book” and that those who never leave home read only one page . NEVER GET TIRED OF THIS ORD LANDING VIEW

Coming into Chicago O’Hare International Airport with the lake stretching out beside the skyline… it hits the same every single time. I’ve seen it more times than I can count, and somehow it still feels like the first.

Maybe it’s the calm before landing.
Maybe it’s the way Lake Michigan just opens up next to the city.
Or maybe it’s just Chicago doing what Chicago does best.

Either way… never tired of this view.
