Here's what cruise lines don't always mention: the higher and further from center you are, the more you'll feel every single wave. And summer cruising? The seas can get surprisingly choppy, especially in places like Alaska or the North Atlantic.

I always recommend mid-ship cabins on lower decks - like decks 4-7. Yeah, you might not have the "best" view, but you'll actually be able to enjoy your vacation instead of feeling like you're on a mechanical bull every night.

I spent the morning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and took the Caring for Giants tour. This tour takes you backstage to get up close to the elephants that live on the Safari.
If you are ever in Animal Kingdom and looking for something a bit different to do, I highly recommend taking this tour!

Fun facts we learned on the tour:
▪️Animal Kingdom is an AZA accredited zoo
▪️Elephants are very afraid of bees so Disney has helped farms in Africa implement bee fences around their crops to keep Elephants from eating them
▪️Elephants drink 40 gallons of water a day
▪️Animal Kingdom is the largest park at 500 acres
▪️All of the Magic Kingdom Park could fit inside just the safari at Animal Kingdom

Had to be to the Detroit airport this morning for an early flight, so stayed at the Westin hotel directly in the airport. So worth it to not have to drive anywhere this morning and to be able to use the TSA line located in the hotel lobby. 10/10 highly recommend!!
